ALDHS Director Spencer Collier

MONTGOMERY – Director Spencer Collier and the Alabama Department of Homeland Security reminds the citizens of Alabama that in relation to suspicious activity, if you “See Something, Say Something.”

There have been no credible or specific intelligence to indicate terrorist organizations are plotting attacks within Alabama to coincide with the 11th anniversary of September 11th. However, terrorist groups, as well as criminals who act alone, have shown interest in specific dates and anniversaries, such as September 11th.

“There were several individuals who saw warning signs prior to 9/11 and did not know how to report the suspicious activity,” said Director Collier. “If you feel that something is out of place in your environment, more than likely, you’re correct. Your willingness to report your information to authorities may be the missing piece of intelligence that can save lives.”

Several actions can be seen as out of the ordinary, whether it be a suspicious package, someone taking unusual photos of government buildings, or strange requests for information about an agency’s safety procedures or emergency plan. For a further list of possible suspicious activity, please visit fusion.alabama.gov and click on the “Awareness” tab.

ALDHS encourages the public to provide criminal or terrorist related tips to their local law enforcement agencies. These tips will be investigated locally and then reported by law enforcement to the Alabama Fusion Center.  However, citizens may also provide an anonymous tip directly to the Fusion Center at fusion.alabama.gov under the Public Awareness tab.

Please remember though, it is not against the law to take pictures when standing on public property of government buildings of any kind or of privately owned buildings. PHOTOGRAPHY IS NOT A CRIME!!

You should tell that prick to pack up his jack booted thugs and go back to the USSR or China. Taking photos of a public building from a public street is NOT illegal, nor is it considered suspicious activity. Ask this guy how many terrorist attacks have been stopped by his organization since 9/11. Answer: 0, zero, zip, nada, none. Every attempted attack has been discovered and stopped by alert citizens or passengers on airplanes. Not the TSA, not the air marshals (they even managed to kill an innocent passenger in Miami), not even the local police. We are spending over $8 billion per year on these Cretins and getting nothing in return. Thanks but no thanks. The last time I looked, that flag flying outside was Red, White and Blue – no hammer, no cycle.

Read this to get the full effect of what these people at Homeland security are up to: http://tsanewsblog.com/5927/news/patdown-assault-trauma-syndrome-fear-shaking-sleeplessness-nightmares-and-flashbacks

Thanks for the “free press” decision to delete my previous comments. I’m guessing this one will vanish, too.
