Mary Frances Davis Chaffin, age 87, of Lawrenceburg, TN entered her eternal home on Sunday, July 30, 2017. She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, a homemaker, and a faithful member of Pulaski Street Church of Christ. She will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be known and remembered for her acts of kindness. You could always count on her to send you a card for your birthday, and visit you if you were sick. She may even have played a practical joke or two on you! She enjoyed visiting the nursing home, cooking, looking through recipe books, and visiting with friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Davis; her mother, Susie Belew Davis; her husband, James Walton Chaffin; one daughter, Frances Ann Chaffin; one brother, Carl Davis; and two sisters, Teresa McWhirter and Pat Shelton.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, August 01, 2017 at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 3:00 PM Wednesday, August 02, 2017, with Doug Osborn officiating. Interment will follow at John Lay Cemetery in Ethridge, TN. Family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
