Funeral service for Sarah Irene Hunter, age 70, of Fayetteville, TN, will be conducted 1 p.m. Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Don Hackney officiating. Burial to follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Hunter passed away on July 26, 2017 at her residence.
Mrs. Hunter was a native of Madison County, AL, and daughter of the late Eldridge and Beatrice Swinford. She was a homemaker and a member of Harmony Hill Church of God.
Survivors include her husband, Raybon “Shorty” Hunter; sons, Charles (Allison) Hunter and Randall (Emily) Hunter; daughter, Tammy (Doug) Ogle; brother, Jackie (Carolyn) Swinford all of Fayetteville, TN; grandchildren, Lee (Mary) Ogle, Logan Ogle, Lauren, Katie, Chasidy, Landon, Taylor and Kylie Hunter, Miller, Madison, and Meg Baggett; and one great-granddaughter, Ava Ogle. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hunter was preceded in death by her brothers, Jimmy and Ralph Swinford.
Visitation with the family will be held Friday, July 28, 2017 from 5 until 8 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959, or the American Cancer Society, PO Box 470, Fayetteville, TN 37334.
