Frances Dutton Bond – Obituary

Frances Dutton Bond, age 97 of Waco, Texas, passed away early Sunday morning, July 23, 2017 in Madison, Alabama. Born December 26, 1919, she lived in Texas until the passing of her husband in 2009, when she moved to Madison to live with her youngest son Gary and his wife Dianne.

She spent her first 90 years in Texas, and she was a true Texan down to the core. She enjoyed playing tennis when she was younger, and she was married to WWII / POW veteran, James Boyd Bond. Mrs. Bond worked for more than 10 years at the Baylor University Library. After moving to the Huntsville area, she was the best Neighborhood Watch you could expect. She enjoyed spending time with her seven grandchildren and especially her seven great-grandchildren. She was a strong Christian woman, who attended Sherwood Baptist Church up until the last weeks of her life.

Frances is survived by two sons: James (Sue), and Gary (Dianne); seven grandchildren: Sarah, Neal (Kristen), Carrie, Lydia (Ross), Rachel, Laura, and Tori (Michael), and her seven great grandchildren: Elijah, Charlie, Elise, Georgia, Norah, Annalise, and Isaiah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. James Boyd Bond, mother Mrs. Olivia Hardin Dutton, and father Mr. Harold Arnold Dutton.

There will be a memorial/celebration of life service held Saturday, July 29, at 4 PM in the Multi-Purpose room at Sherwood Baptist Church, 6600 Old Madison Pike in Huntsville, AL. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Sherwood Baptist Church, Huntsville AL.
