David Lee Langhout, 60, died July 22, 2017 after a prolonged fight with heart issues. David was a long time resident of Huntsville, Alabama and an Eagle Scout. After graduating from Auburn University, he went to work for a small construction company. In the course of his 30-year career, he grew that company, became the owner and president, and executed hundreds of millions of dollars of construction projects across Redstone Arsenal and the city of Huntsville.   He also built numerous private homes for friends and family. He loved the art of concrete and its uses in the construction industry. His last residence on Guntersville Lake was built entirely out of concrete. He was very generous with the wealth he accumulated over the years as he quietly helped many individuals with their financial hardships. David is survived by his parents, Tom and Betty Langhout of Huntsville; his sister, Judy Tonini of Huntsville; and his two brothers, Dan and Jeff Langhout of Huntsville. He was preceded in death by his long time soul mate, Ms. Kelly Harrity. No services are planned. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations be made in David’s name to the charity of your choice.
