Lonnie B. Smith, 95, formerly of Birmingham, AL, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae H. Smith, and his parents and siblings.
He is survived by his daughter, Mary Elizabeth Temple (William) of Huntsville; grandchildren, Natalie Couch (Sean) and Mark Temple (Lindsay) of Huntsville, and Daniel Temple (Ali) of Birmingham; great-grandchildren, Sarah Grace, Julianna, and Josiah Temple; and brother-in-law, and long-time friend, Thaddeus Wiggins, formerly of Birmingham.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 25 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham with the Rev. Jack Drinkwater officiating.
