Christine Jones Weeks – Obituary

Christine Jones Weeks was born on April 19, 1938, the daughter of the late Franklin Calvin Jones and Fannie Vestie Hively Hofstadter. In December of 1954, she was united in marriage to Fred Ray Weeks, who preceded her in death on December 5, 2016. Christine departed this life on July 19, 2017, at the age of 79 years and 3 months.

Christine worked at Levi Manufacturing. She was a family person with a large and loving heart. Her love was extended to many people within her family and without. Christine’s appreciation for people brought her much joy. She thoroughly enjoyed the company of her most beloved sister and friend, Maylene, and all of her companions at the Hardin County Nursing Home.Christine’s family remembers her as a loving, compassionate, and gifted woman that had a genuine love for people and animals. She was an excellent gardener and could cook one of the finest southern meals. Her love and commitment for Christ was clearly shown throughout her lifetime, where she was known for putting others first. She will be remembered as a woman that was full of grace and kindness.

Christine is survived by her daughter, Janice Smith and husband Omar of Woodstock, Georgia; a son-in-law, Eddie Hales; a sister, Dorris Maylene Jones Anderson and husband Leon of Montgomery, Alabama; grandchildren, Nathan Smith and wife Kimberly and Janice Nicole Hales; and one great grandchild.

In addition to her husband and parents, Christine was preceded in death by her son, Randy Weeks; daughter, Cheryl Hales; and brothers, Junior Calvin Jones and Bobby Allen Jones.
