Dr. Earlene Pankey Taylor, 79, of Alabama Highway 168, Boaz, Alabama died Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at her residence.
The funeral service will be Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 2:00 p. m. at the McRae Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mark Parris officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from noon until funeral time at the funeral home.
Dr. Taylor was born in Boaz, Alabama on Nov. 7, 1937 to Herbert & Ruth Hamby Pankey. She was a retired educator.
Dr. Taylor is survived by her Husband: Benny W. Taylor of Boaz, Son: Juan Jose “J.J.” Taylor (Tona Melfi) of Boaz, Grandchildren: Jessica Taylor and Jerrett Taylor, Great Grandchildren: Brooklynn Oaks and Amara Oaks, Brothers: Eldridge & Penny Pankey of Boaz, Kyle Pankey of Moulton and Jason Pankey (Crystal Beck) of Albertville, Sister: Marquita & Troy Poss of Boaz and Susan & David Denham of Albertville. She is preceded in death by her parents and her daughter: Sabrina Gay Taylor.
Pallbearers will be Brian Pankey, B. J. Pankey, Jeff Beck, Loyd Downs, Jacob Edward Hambey and David Allen Hambey.
