Charles Edward Crocker – Obituary

Charles Edward Crocker, 80, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017, at his home. He was born February 2, 1937, in Tremont to Ellie Elkin and Eula Mae Phillips Crocker. He worked in the press room at American Motors until his retirement. He loved gardening and enjoyed fishing and hunting when he was able.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 19, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton. Burial will be in Itawamba Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include one son, David Crocker (Peggy) of Kenosha, WI; one daughter, Peggy Compton (Bob) of Racine, WI; two step-sons, Ron Mueller of Tupelo and Donald Mueller of Anchorage, AK; two step-daughters, Shellie Ellis (Jimmy) of Okolona and Penny Mueller of Milwaukee, WI; one brother, L.C. Crocker of Fulton; three sisters, Jessie Faye Oliver and Virginia Oliver, both of Golden, and Wanda Hardy of Denison, TX; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Crocker; one son, Charles Crocker, Jr.; his parents, Ellie and Eula Crocker; and one sister, Ola Mae Cagle.

Pallbearers will be Bob Compton, Jimmy Ellis, Paul Compton, Robert Compton, Steve Frost, Tim Oliver, and Ron Mueller.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 18, at the funeral home.
