Mr. Beecham, the son of the late Lloyd Thomas and Lalar Mae Ricketts Beecham died Friday, July 14, 2017 in Jackson, Tennessee. Retired from Leroy Somer, he enjoyed metal detecting and his family, especially his granddaughter and her children. Survivors include his wife of fifty-four years, Katherine Williams Beecham; his son, Jeff Beecham and wife Jennifer; granddaughter, Molly Delancey and her husband Justin and their children: McKynlie and Merritt Delancey; his two sisters, Jo Reba Maness and her husband Alton and Barbara Irvin and her husband William and a brother, Allen Beecham and his wife Shelia. Leon was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Devaughn Beecham.

James 1:22A states, “Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only …” Leon was a Baptist man with a gentle spirit. We would all do well to strive and emulate Leon’s character in loving and helping his family, friends and neighbors in any way he could his whole life, up until the day he passed. He loved his family, especially his wife Katherine and his great grand babies, McKynlie and Merritt, with his whole being and will be greatly missed.
