Joseph Ted “Teddy” Billingsley, age 50 of Atlanta, Georgia, formerly of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away Monday July 10, 2017 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Jefferson County and went to West Birmingham Christian School. Then, he went on to Faulkner University for four years in Homewood and graduated May 6, 2000 in Montgomery, Alabama.
A graveside service will be Wednesday July 12, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Bivens Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Ray Brooks and Mr. Steve Hardin will officiate.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Annie and Holly Billingsley and Joseph and Sadie Townley;
He is survived by his son, Justin (Stacy) Brasfield; grandchildren, Mia and Kai Brasfield; parents, Garner and Colleen Billingsley; brother, Randy (Ann) Billingsley; sister, Renae (Kerry) Wood; life partner, Doug Fontenot; and a host of family and friends.
