Shooting In Courtland Leaves Two Men Dead

COURTLAND-On Thursday, July 6 the towns of Courtland and Decatur experienced there murders.  One suspect has been arrested.

In the murders of two men at a trailer in North Courtland officials from Lawrence County said two men were murdered.  The bodies discovered by a friend of one of the men. Jimmy Lee Bolding, 34, of 936 Rosa Parks St., North Courtland, and James Lemark Madden, 41, of 226B Bailey Road, Muscle Shoals, were found dead at Bolding’s trailer home on Rosa Parks Street.

According to authorities they have a person of interest.  No arrests have been made at this time. The murders took place just before 11 PM on Thursday.  An emergency call came in that a man had been shot just before 11AM at the Rosa Parks trailer in Courtland.

Lawrence County Coroner Greg Randolph said both men suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office is handling the investigation. Investigators have a few “persons of interest,” according to a media release  from the Sheriff’s Office.
