SHEFFIELD-Muscle Shoals is alive and well and recording again as well as offering daily tours. Studio is open for tours MondaySunday through Labor Day 10-5. We will be closed the 4th of July but open all day on the 3rd. Thickets are just $12 for a guided tour.
Next recording act is Bishop Gunn – a southern rock band from Natchez, Mississippi and is imbued with a through knowledge of the sounds and soul that make up the Americana Music Triangle.
July 20 through the 25th they will be recording here after 5 so as not to disrupt tours and merchandise sales.  The band performed at last year’s W.C. Handy Music Festival to rave reviews. Muscle Shoals Sound Studio wants to encourage a new generation of rock and rollers and especially those that appreciate recording on hallowed ground. Travis McCredy is the lead singer as well as a fabulous guitar player, band leader Burne Sharp is a passionate drummer,  Along with band members Ben Lewis and Drew Smithers.
The band has recently performed on a Kid Rock cruise, in a Kid Rock video and was also in a Justin Timberlake video for the William Rast clothing line.  The band is now living in Leiper’s Fork, TN.
There will be several opportunities to meet the band at Muscle Shoals Sound Studio before the recording sessions begin at 5 and the band will be out and about all over town. We hear they love Turbo Coffee on Tennessee Street!
