William David Rush age 73 passed away Wednesday morning, June 28, 2017 at St. Thomas- West Hospital in Nashville.
He was born June 25, 1944 in Silerton, TN the son of the late Julius Evertt Rush and Alma Kate Johnson Rush. He went to school in Chester County and graduated Chester County High School in 1962 and had one year at Freed-Hardeman University. He entered the U.S. Marines in 1964 and returned in 1968. He attended U.T. Knoxville. Then he moved back to Henderson and started in the carpentry business being self-employed for fifty plus years. He enjoyed baseball and football. He lived in Memphis and then to Grand Junction in 1986. He was a member of the Silerton United Methodist Church.
Mr. Rush is survived by a sister, Frances Stack and husband Gilbert of Toone, TN and a brother, Joe Rush of Henderson, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John W. Rush in 2016.
Memorial services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Neal Escue officiating.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 9:30 AM until 10:30 AM Saturday.
