Roberta Irwin Bryant passed from this life at the age of 100 on June 24, 2017 at Bolivar General Hospital.

Mrs. Bryant was born October 11,1916 in Whiteville, TN to the late William Robert and Rita Mae Derrington Irwin. She was married on February 4, 1932 to Travis Bryant who passed October 19, 1995. She and her husband Travis were the co-owners of Bryant Shoe Shop in Bolivar, TN until its closing in 1976. Mrs. Bryant loved crafts, especially, sewing and quilting; and she loved to fish. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Bolivar,

Survivors include her three daughters, Barbara Robinson, Anita Brooks, Patsy Myers and her husband Bobby all of Bolivar; a sister Rita McCommon of Marshall, TX; eight grandchildren Major General Retired Doug Robinson, Judy Hamby, Karen Moss, Kenneth Brooks, Kevin Brooks, Michael Bryant, Robert Myers and Erin Ubelhor; and by numerous great and great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death a son William “Bill” Bryant, a sister, Annie Virginia Gibson, six brothers, Griffin, George, Louis, Albert, Derrington and James Irwin, and two sons-in law Fred Robinson and J. Hall Brooks.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to “Food for Friends” at First United Methodist Church (731-658-5114) or donor’s choice.
