Frances Blocker Cagle – Obituary

Frances Blocker Cagle, 94, of Huntsville, passed away Friday. Mrs. Cagle, daughter of Lester and Mattie Blocker, was a native and lifelong resident of Huntsville. During World War II, Mrs. Cagle worked at Redstone Arsensal as munitions assembler. She was a member of Holmes Street United Methodist Church for over 50 years.

Mrs. Cagle was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Cagle; daughter, Mary Elizabeth; brothers: Paul, Clark, Earl, Theodore, and Gene Blocker; sisters, Evelyn Thomas and Elizabeth Manning.

Survivors include four sons: Glenn (Nancy), Steve (Leslie), Phil (Vicki), and Mark Cagle; two daughters: Nancy (Bill) Wallace and Laura (Lee) Reynolds; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home followed by 2:00 service with Pastor Todd Owen officiating. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Holmes Street United Methodist Church building fund.
