Funeral service for Hilrey Nethery age 89 of Hartselle will be Monday, June 26, 2017 at 2:00pm at Salem United Methodist Church with Brother Steve McCurry and Brother Walter Blackman officiating with burial in the adjoining cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. The body will be at the Church 1 hour prior to the service. Visitation will be from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Sunday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Nethery, who was born February 12, 1928 to Emmett and Bertha Tankersley Nethery, died on Friday, June 23, 2017 at Grandview Medical Center in Birmingham. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church in Hartselle, was retired from Hargett Plumbing Company and was preceded in death by his wife; Lois Nethery, a daughter; Patricia Nethery and a son and daughter-in-law; Gary and Gloria Nethery.
He is survived by a daughter; Shelia Blackwood (Gary), a sister; Margaret Higginbotham,
3 Grandchildren; Ashley Littleton (Aaron), Patrick Blackwood and Amelia Nethery and 9 Great-Grandchildren.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers
