Joyce Irene Lovell, 66, of Hartselle, passed away on June 21, 2017. Her visitation will be on Sunday, June 25, 2017, from 1 to 3 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home. Her funeral service will begin at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery. Rev. Hansford Smith is officiating.
Mrs. Lovell is preceded in death by her parents, John and Alma Watson; brothers, Jimmy, Cecil and Bill Watson; sister, Betty McCravy.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Gary Lovell; one daughter, Scarlet (Jimmy) Bolan; one son, John (Alison) Lovell; three grandchildren, Taylor, Luke Bolan and Natalie Lovell; one brother, Paul (Buffy) Watson; and two sisters, Judy (Tommy) Davis and Francis Taylor.
She was a member of Decatur Baptist Church. She was a Sunday school teacher for 30 years. She retired from Decatur City Schools. Family was her life. She always put others first.
