Graveside service for Martha E. Verchot, 58, Decatur will be Saturday June 24, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Sellers officiating. There will be no visitation.
Ms. Verchot who died Wednesday June 21, 2017 was born on July 29, 1958 in Jefferson County to Edgar A. Verchot and Elizabeth Adele Bass Verchot.
She had a Masters Degree in Micro Biology and Library Science from the University of Alabama. She enjoyed her animals and the Art of Pysanky.
She is survived by two brothers; Edgar A. Verchot and his wife Deborah and Richard A. Verchot and his wife Lucinda, nieces and nephews; Edgar III, Lori, Eric, Eileen, John, Marybeth and Brian.
Ridout’s Brown-Service Funeral Home is assisting the family.
