Mechelle Williams Blythe was born on July 17, 1958 in West Jefferson, Alabama and departed this life in June 21, 2017 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. Her parents were Morris and Jane Pennington. She was employed at Bellsouth where she served dutifully for seventeen years before retiring in 2002.
Funeral service will be Friday June 23, 2017 at 11:00 am in the New Horizon Memorial chapel. Rev. Ricky Farley will officiate. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Gardens. Family will begin receiving friends for visitation at 10:00 am Friday.
Mechelle was truly blessed. She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Lavies; mother, Jane Pennington; daughter, Randy Mechelle Williams; uncle Paw Hub Sanford; and special cousin, Donna Henry.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Spencer Williams; her beloved Freddy Blythe; father, Morris Pennington; her loving aunt, Nanny Ruth Sanford; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other loving relatives, and friends.
