Celebrate 20 Years of Harry Potter at FLPL on June 30!

FLORENCE–Celebrate 20 Years of Harry Potter on Friday, June 30 from 1:00 until 9:00 at Florence-Lauderdale Public Library.

Our most magical day of the year is back! This year, we’ll be joining Potter fans around the world in celebrating the 20th anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter and the Sorceror’s Stone. We’ll have trivia, crafts, games, a photobooth, a costume contest,  a Wizard Rock concert, and more! Plus, Bookmarks Coffee Shop will transform into Honeydukes for the day, offering Butterbeer and other magical treats. Festivities start at1:00 pm, and we’ll be going all evening, so come during the day or after work!

Are you ready to (Wizard) Rock? Tonks & the Aurors, a hugely popular Wizard Rock band that is currently on a national tour, will close out our Harry Potter anniversary celebration with a free all-ages concert! Tonks will be joined by two other bands–Tianna and the Cliffhangers, and Losing Lara–so you’ll be able to rock out to your favorite music inspired by Harry Potter, Star Wars, Firefly, the Hunger Games, and more!
