Sammie Gene Crumpton – Obituary

Sammie Gene Crumpton, 83, died Saturday, June 17, 2017, at The Meadows after a brief illness. He was born February 2, 1934, to Malvin and Alberta Ivy Crumpton. He was retired from the United States Air-Force after twenty years of service. He then worked at Mueller Brass for several years before retiring from Day-Brite in 1996. He enjoyed watching westerns and fishing.

Services will be at 11 a. m. Tuesday, June 20, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Ray Stevens officiating. Burial will be in Itawamba Memorial Gardens. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Myra Grissom Crumpton; four step-children, Randy Evans, Rodney Evans, all of Ballardsville, Rhonda Evans of Biggersville, and Steven Lucas (Regina) of Marietta. Eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim Crumpton and an infant brother; one sister, Lucille Brewer; and his parents.

Visitation will be from 10 a. m. until service time Tuesday at McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
