Huntsville Man Arrested for Providing Support for Act of Terrorism

HUNTSVILLE-The Huntsville Police Department releasaed a statement concerning the arrest of a man on Thursday, June 15 whohas been charged with Soliciting of Providing Support for an Act of Terrorism:

“The Huntsville Police Department has charged Aziz Sayed, 22 year old of Huntsville, with Soliciting of Providing Support for an Act of Terrorism.


The arrest is the result of a tip from a citizen.  
Sayed was stopped and taken into custody in the area of Church Street and Clinton Avenue this afternoon.

The Huntsville Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are jointly investigating this case, and both agencies want the community to know that this arrest eliminates any threat to the Huntsville/Madison County area, including the Redstone Arsenal.

This is an ongoing investigation and no further information is available at this time.”
