A celebration of Life Service for Demarcus Odarius Owens, 18, will be held at 2 PM Sunday, May 28, 2017 at the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Bro. Lowell Walker, his pastor at Mount Siani Church, officiating. Private burial will follow in Porter’s Memorial Gardens in Tupelo. The family will receive friends beginning at Noon on Sunday only at the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors, which is honored to be serving the family.

Born December 31, 1998, Demarcus was a gentle, kind soul who was admired by his friends and beloved by his family. He graduated early in December, 2016 from Tupelo High School where he was active in the creative arts, painting and singing. Demarcus was highly anticipating his attendance in August, 2017 to Union University in Jackson, Tennessee where he was to study art. A creative, imaginative and gifted young man, Demarcus would give you the shirt off his back if it would help you. He was a member of the Choir at Mount Siani, where he worshiped and professed his faith in God and secured his eternal reward.

Left to mourn his passing are his Mom and Dad, Angela Banks and Marcus Owens; his sisters, Prishawn Turner and twin sisters, Moesha and Nyesha Banks, all of Tupelo and his extended family and many friends.

Condolences may be e mailed to hollandfuneraldirectors@comcast.net The service may be viewed via www.hollandfuneraldirectors.com/livestreaming
