Funeral service for Louie Gilbert Dutton, 99, will be Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Friendship Baptist Church, South of Danville with Rev. Dan Compton officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. His body will lie in state at the church for two hours prior to the service. Burial will be in Friendship Baptist Cemetery (South of Danville). Visitation will be Saturday, May 27, 2017 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Friendship Baptist Church, South of Danville.
Mr. Dutton died on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Summerford Nursing Home. He was born February 26, 1918, in Morgan County (Danville) to Rev. Daniel Moody Dutton and Laura Belle Minor Dutton. Mr. Dutton married Mary Naylor Dutton on April 14, 1949. They had four children; Roger D., Barry Keith, Teresa, and Christopher Daniel Dutton. . Mr. Dutton was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Danville, AL. He never met a stranger and enjoyed making new friends. He enjoyed farming and gardening and loved his family dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons: Roger D. and Christopher Daniel Dutton, and two sisters: Ilva Dutton Aldridge and Irene Dutton Pope.
