Frederick Robert Siegel, 80, of Muscle Shoals, passed away May 23, 2017 at UAB Hospital. He was a member of Tuscumbia Church of Christ; and a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a loving father, husband, and grandfather known as Pop Pop.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 27, 2017 from 10-1 p.m. at New Hope Church of Christ. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. at the church with Benjamin Siegel and Carl Seigenthaler officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.
Mr. Siegel was preceded in death by his wife and mother of his children, Nina Faye Grisham Siegel; and parents, Henry and Ethel Siegel.
He is survived by his wife, Claris Denton-Siegel of Muscle Shoals; son, Stephen Siegel of Florence; daughters, Cindy Mitchell (Greg) of Denver, CO, and Pam Coons (Chris) of Helena, AL; grandchildren, Nicholas Siegel, Benjamin Siegel (Courtney) all of Florence, Caleb and Katie Coons of Helena, AL, and Joshua Taylor of Denver, CO; step-son, William A. Denton (Susan) of Belvedere, IL; step-daughters, Denise Denton of Florence, and Lisa Denton Murphy (Bill) of Indianapolis, IN; first cousin, Arthur MacBurney (Carol) of Pennsylvania; and step-grandchildren, Joseph, Sean, and Emily Holder, and Phillip Denton.
Pallbearers will be Nicholas Siegel, Joshua Taylor, Caleb Coons, Phillip Denton, Joseph Holder, and Sean Holder.
