Teresa Dawn Griffus, age 62, of Killen, Alabama, died, Sunday, May 21, 2017.
She was born in Florence, Alabama on October 13, 1954.

The visitation will be Tuesday, May 23rd from 6 to 9:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. The funeral will be Wednesday, May 24th at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Wright Cemetery in Waterloo, Alabama.

She was a member, servant, and teacher for Christ Jesus at LifePoint United Pentecostal Church in Pulaski, Tennessee.

Pastor Dusty Frierson and Pastor Dennis Ivey and will be officiating. Interment will be at Wright Cemetery in Waterloo, Alabama.

Teresa had an adventurous spirit, always loved to travel, and particularly loved rollercoasters. She was a passionate religious teacher in her church community. She was a devoted and loving wife of 33 years and was a steadfast, supportive mother. Teresa was a dedicated caregiver to patients, family, and charitable to friends. She provided strength and encouragement to those in need. She had a wonderful sense of humor and always uplifting in her encounters. Teresa has a beautiful smile and curious nature. She adored animals, especially her dogs.

Survivors include her husband Bob Griffus; daughter, Michelle Whitworth (Shawn); step-daughters, Cyndy Abercrombie (Robby) and Tisha Vanderbeck (Sonny); brothers, Tommy Kelly and Teddy Kelly; sister, Vicki McMahan (Royce); two grand-children, Logan Whitworth (Halla) and Landyn Whitworth; and great-grand-daughter, Kambrya Whitworth, a host of nieces and nephews, and her best friend, Linda Lack.

Pallbearers will be Logan Whitworth, Joe Pitts, Jeff Lack, Berlon Sharp, Johnny Martin, and Shane Spillers. Alternate pallbearer will be Floyd Adams.
