Lawrence Ray “Rabbit” Cain, Jr., age 74 of Tuscumbia, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017. His visitation will be Tuesday, May 23, 2017 from 1:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Melvin Mordecai officiating. Burial will be in Shoals Memorial Garden.
Lawrence was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired from Reynolds Alloys. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence R. Cain, Sr. and Estelle Cain.
His survivors include his loving wife of 27 years, Martha Jane Cain; daughter, Debbie Bolin (Jim); sons, Ray Cain (Kristie) and Jamie Cain (Carolyn); stepsons, Tim Patterson (Brandi), Rodney Patterson (Debbie), Daryl Patterson (Natalie), and Shane Patterson (Becky); brothers, Jim Cain (Polly) and John Cain (Frances); 22 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and his little dog Charlie.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Bolin, Jordan and Chandler Cain, Shawn, DeWayne, Chris and Brandon Patterson, and Cody Michael.
