Chester Murel Johnson, Sr. 77, passed away Monday, May 22, 2017, at The Meadows in Fulton. He was born June 25, 1939 to the late Luther Johnson and the late Hattie Gilton Johnson in Itawamba County. He was a member of Enon Primitive Baptist. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cutting wood, being outdoors, and spending time with his family and friends.
Services will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday May 24, 2017 at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Howell and Chester Murel Johnson Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Keyes Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Wednesday May 24 at Senter Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Johnson of Nettleton, 2 Sons, Chester Murel (Sherry) Johnson, Jr. of Huntsville, AL, and Marshall Brian (Michelle) Johnson of Nettleton, 2 Granddaughters, Katie (Brock) Tillman, and Maddie Johnson, Brother, James (Shirley) Johnson of Fulton, Sister, Carol (Ted) Stanley of Fulton, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Vince Stanley, Mark Johnson, Jimmy Chrsitian, Andy Loden, Jeff Mansell, and Larry Brown.
