Lucille Atkinson age 90 of Athens passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017 at her residence. Mrs. Atkinson was born November 24, 1926 in Limestone County, AL to Herman Hargrove and Frances Alice Williams Hargrove.
Services will be Sunday, May 21, 2017 2:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Steve Ferguson officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in New Garden Cemetery.
Preceded in death by her parents; husband, of 64 years Grady Atkinson; sisters, Williene Newby and Mary Thompson.
Survived by two sons, Ray Atkinson and Stanley Atkinson; two grandchildren, Stacey Atkinson and Chris Atkinson.
Pallbearers will be Leonard Watson, Sam McMeans, Steve Bates, Ronnie Sandlin, Garry Sandlin and Mike Sandlin.
