Della Mae Epps – Obituary

Della Mae Epps, 86, died Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at North Mississippi Medical Center, Iuka, Mississippi. She was born in Allsboro, Alabama and worked at Blue Bell for 30 years. She married Harold Epps on Oct. 2, 1948. She was a member of Allsboro Presbyterian Church and was a master seamstress.

Services will be today, 3 p.m., at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, Mississippi, with Brother Donny Riley and Amy Smith officiating. Burial will be in Belmont Memory Gardens, Belmont, Mississippi. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Mississippi, will be in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by two children, Doug Epps (Patti) and Jennifer Wigginton (Jamie), all of Golden, Mississippi; three grandchildren, Shawn Epps (Stacy), Amy Smith (Rhett), and Kellen Horn (Hayley); three great-grandchildren, Ashley Epps, Aubrey Horn, and Jace Smith; three sisters, Mavis Hooper, Adell Stamps, and Flo Nelson; and a brother, W.J. Hooper.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Epps; a son, David Epps; her parents, Ed and Audie Mae Hooper; two brothers, Jim Hooper and Jerry Hooper; and three sisters, Jewel Woodis, Mildred McDonald, and Zora Lee Nunley.

Pallbearers will be Mark Horn, John Hooper, Jeff Hooper, Jason Hooper, Bob Green, Marvin Woodis, Eddie Nunley, and Kellen Horn.

Visitation will be today, 2-3 p.m., at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, Mississippi.
