Tula Mae Lovett Henson, TuTu – Obituary

Tula Mae Lovett Henson, or TuTu as she was lovingly called, gained her Angel Wings on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 84 years old. She was born in Lawrence County Alabama November 24, 1932. When asked how she was doing she always answered, “I’m Blessed,” with a smile on her face.

Visitation will be today, Friday, May 19, 2017 from 10-11 a.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Mike Nash officiating. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.

TuTu was retired from the Florence Police Department as a Dispatcher. She was a loving, devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ira Lovett; mother, Nora Lovett; brothers, Tennis, LC, and Eugene Lovett; sisters, Rachel and Helen Smith.

She is survived by her son, Lynn Henson (Sharon); two granddaughters, Christy Coosenberry (Lynn), and Misty Henson (Waddell); great-grandchildren, Dakota Coosenberry, and Lauren Mills; and many special nieces and nephews.

Active pallbearers will be Lynn Coosenberry, John Waddell, David Ponder, and Dale Ballard.

Dakota Coosenberry, Lonnie Henson, Kenny Smith, Randall Smith, Carl Lovett, Chris Ross, Rick Carter, and Ronnie Ross will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to her caregivers, Theresa, Monica, and Melissa of Elder Care; and Sandy, Norma, Tabitha, LaJoyce, and Lee of Kindred Hospice.
