Willodean Rice Nix, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at her residence.
The visitation will be noon-2 p.m. today at Liberty Hill Church with the funeral following at 2 p.m. with Brother Bobby Joe Poss officiating. Burial will be at Shady Grove Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Rice; mother, Lethia Rice; brothers, O’Neal Rice and Addison Rice; and grandchildren, Daniel Lackey, Patricia Lackey, and Landon Nix.
She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 66 years, Carl E. Nix; children, James Nix (wife, Tammy), Mike Nix (wife, Donna), Danny Nix (wife, Gena), Victor Nix, and Phyllis Nix Lackey; grandchildren, Whitney (Burt) Hutcheson, Hannah (Chase) Oliver, Austin Nix, Shoshana Reeves, Jason (Felica) Ayers, Chris Nix, Drew (Amanda) Nix, and Brett (Nicole) Nix; great-grandchildren, Emma and Easton Hutcheson, Raylee Oliver, TJ Reeves, Abbigail Nix, Isasc Nix, and Lucus Nix; brothers, Ramond (Bobbie) Rice, JP (Ann) Rice, and Thomas (Mary) Rice; sister, Louise (Don) Cook; and a host of nieces and nephews.
The pallbearers will be Austin Nix, Chris Nix, Drew Nix, Burt Hutcheson, Jason Ayers, and Chase Oliver.
