Virginia Rich Bryan “Chigger” – Obituary

Virginia Rich Bryan, known by the family and friends as “Chigger”, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at NHC, Somerville, TN. She was born June 29, 1920 to the late Claude W. and Lillian Bull Rich. She was 96 years old.

Chigger was a faithful member of the Collierville Church of Christ, Collierville, TN.

Virginia was the wife the late Mr. Jimmy Bryan, manager of the Ames Plantation for 25 years. She was also preceded in death by her oldest son, Jim Bryan; grandsons, Joel and MIke Bryan and sister, Jean Coopwood.

She is survived by her son, Charlie Frank Bryan (Pat) of Moscow, TN; five grandchildren, Michele Carter (Jay) of Canton, MS, Cris Bryan of Canton, MS, Charlee Bryan of Crystal Springs, MD, Ashley Bryan-Gabbard (Chris) of Indianapolis, IN, and Kacy Bryan of Southaven, MS; four great-grandchildren, Joshua, Katherine and Jacob Carter, all of Canton, MS; and Ethan Gabbard of Indianapolis, IN; a niece, Kitty Williams; and a nephew, Ben Coopwood.
