Buford “Mack” Sephus Frederick – Obituary

Buford “Mack” Sephus Frederick, 83, of Huntsville, passed away Sunday.

Mr. Frederick was a native of Hackleburg and a resident of Madison County for over 53 years. He was member of Huntsville Freewill Baptist Church, and a former deacon at Hillsboro Heights Baptist Church. Mr. Frederick was also a member of the Gideons and an accomplished licensed pilot.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years: Lillie B. Frederick; four brothers: Dewey Frederick, Tommy Frederick, Johnny Sharp Frederick, and Dinard “Boot” Frederick; and three sisters: Monic Hudson, Nona Lawler, and Opal Fisher. Survivors include his two sons: Stephen M. Frederick (Pamela Houk Bryant) and Michael L. Frederick (Martha); daughter: Sleana F. McDougle (Doug); sister: Martha Crowson; six grandchildren: Ryan, Riley, Katharine, Lauren, Emma, and Ian; great-granddaughter: Biance; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home followed by service at 2:00 with Rev. Allen Crowson officiating. Burial will be at Charity Cemetery.
