James Ronald Bedingfield – Obituary

James Ronald Bedingfield, 75, of Trinity passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at North Alabama Specialty Care. He was born Oct. 6, 1941 in Limestone County to Verdie and Glennys Bedingfield.

Visitation will be Monday, May 15th from 11:30 am to 1 p.m. at Ridout’s Brown-Service Funeral Home with service to follow. David Barker officiating. Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery.

Mr. Bedingfield was a land surveyor in the Decatur area for over 50 years, coached youth sports for many years, and was a member of Midway Church of Christ. Preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sherry Pirtle.

Survived by his wife, Linda Jenkins Bedingfield; daughter, Tami Hamby (Allen); son, Tim Bedingfield; grandchildren, Rachael and Lauren Hamby; stepgrandchildren, Ashly, Cole and Katie Hamby; stepgreat-grandson, Zane Hall; sister, Phyllis Bedingfield of Athens; brothers, Doug Bedingfield (Gloria) of Chattanooga, Tennessee and Bill Bedingfield (Nga) of Atlanta, Georgia; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
