Shirley Mae Taylor – Obituary

Shirley Mae Taylor, 74, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017, at NMMC Inpatient Hospice in Tupelo. She was born January 5, 1943 to the late Frank Ray Hall and the late Ruby Mae Ashley Hall. She retired from Golden Manufacturing after many years of service. Shirley accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and was a member of Golden Central Baptist Church, where she served faithfully until her health failed her. She married Wayne Eldon Taylor on December 20, 1959 and to this union two daughters were born. She taught her family to love God, love family, and love others.

Services will be 2:00 pm on Saturday May 13, 2017 at Golden Central Baptist Church with Bro. Matthew Fancher and Bro. David George officiating. Visitation will be this evening, Friday, May 12, from 5:00-9:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00 am until service time, also at Golden Central Baptist Church in Golden, MS. Burial will be in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. Senter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her Husband, Wayne Eldon Taylor of Golden, Daughters: Charlotte (Jeryl) Graham and Regina (Mitch) Moffett both of Golden, Grandsons: M. Craig (Courtney) Moffett of Tupelo, Preston (Alleigh) Moffett of Tupelo, Jerrod Isaac Graham of Golden, and Derek Isaiah Graham of Golden, one precious great-grandson who she adored, Riley Case Moffett of Tupelo; Nieces, Laurinda (Shane) Sparks of Olive Branch and Melissa (Jimmy) Ewing of Las Vegas, NV; 3 great nieces and 2 great nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers will be Mitch Moffett, Jeryl Graham, Shane Sparks, Mike Taylor, Floyd Paden, and Quince Wright.

Honorary Pallbearers are Craig Moffett, Preston Moffett, Jerrod Isaac Graham, Derek Isaiah Graham, and Riley Case Moffett.
