Eron Laverne Dearman – Obituary

Eron Laverne Dearman, 86, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the Diversicare Nursing Facility after an extended illness. A lifelong resident of Lee County, she was born November 1, 1930, the daughter of Lewis and Miley Garner. She graduated from Saltillo High School. A devoted mother and homemaker, Eron was known for her wonderful cooking and service to others. Her children remember her reading her Bible to each of them individually, as they sat in her lap. She loved her church, East Main Church of Christ, and enjoyed the Gospel music of her church. Mrs. Dearman had a beautiful smile and will be remembered for her generous spirit.

Services will be 10 AM Saturday at the Lee Memorial Chapel with Bro. Dale Beard officiating. Burial will be at Lee Memorial Park. Lee Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Mrs. Eron leaves behind her four children, Julia Wood (Ewing) of Dorsey, Janet Byrge (Jerry) of Helenwood, TN, Louie Dearman (Charlotte) of Tupelo, and Terry Dearman (Karen) of Saltillo; nine grandchildren, T.J. Dearman, Wesley Boland (Melissa), Angie Boland, Michael Wood (Amanda), Tammy Floyd (Tyler), Curtis Byrge (Shanna), Bridgett Boling (Bradley), Diana Richardson (Kenny), and Aimee Fowler (Jimmy Jr.); 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 58 years, Glen O. Dearman who died Oct. 1, 2008; her son David Dearman who died May 11, 2001; a brother, Clyde Garner; and four sisters, Opal Chittom, Arvy Garner, Dois Smith and husband James, and Roberta Davis.

Pallbearers will be C.B. Davis, T.J. Dearman, Michael Wood, Curtis Byrge, Jimmy Fowler Jr., Robert Post, Bob McKinney, Len Schaeffer III, Jerry Byrge, Ewing Wood, and Bob Smith.

Visitation will be 5-8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Friends and family are welcome to share memories and expressions of sympathy on this guest book.
