Muriel Arlene Saint Walker – Obituary

Muriel Arlene Saint Walker, 69, of Lacey’s Spring, died Tuesday May 9, 2017 at Crestwood Medical Center in Huntsville.
Mrs. Walker was born June 12, 1947, in Marshall County to Henry and Alene Couch Saint. She has been married to Larry Warren Walker for 26 years.
She was a Godly, loving, caring, devoted wife, mother, Mimi and friend to so many. She was a member of Brindlee Mtn Baptist Church. She served faithfully in her church and community spreading the love of Jesus to all. She freely gave her time, talents, and love to anyone who was in need. She was a loyal advocate to cancer patients and families of those affected. Many times she would stop and pray with those she believed was fighting that battle. She baked the best cookies and delicious “surprise” deserts for her family. Her home was always a warm, welcoming place to visit. She loved to sew, embroider, garden, take care of her chickens, travel and thrift; but her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren. For many years, she worked in the postal service and served as Postmaster at Lacey’s Spring.
She is survived by her husband: Larry Walker; children and their spouses: Billy and Cyndi Griffin, Charlie and Tracey Griffin, and Jennifer Lewis; grandchildren: Taylor and Dustin Quinlan, Connor Griffin, Courteney Griffin, Lillie Lewis, Carter Lewis, Blake Griffin, Carson Griffin, and Claire Griffin; sister: Rose Blackmon; brother and spouse: Roy and Brandy Saint; sister-in-law: Gayle Saint; brother-in-laws: Thomas Quillin and Steve Walker; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, twin brother: Earl Saint; sisters: Carolyn Quillin and Geraldine Hill; and brother-in-laws: Bobby Hill and Jerry Blackmon.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday May 13, 2017 at Brindlee Mtn Baptist Church with Brothers: Robby Boyd and Eldridge Criscoe, officiating. Burial will be in Union Grove Cemetery in Morgan City with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.
Pallbearers will be: Connor Griffin, Blake Griffin, Carter Lewis, Dustin Quinlan, Alan-Michael Sanders, and Zack Saint
Honorary pallbearers will be all her nephews.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m. Friday May 12, 2017 at Brindlee Mtn Baptist Church.
