Jeanne Pollock Abernathy – Obituary

Jeanne Pollock Abernathy passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2017. She was born in Mt. Joy, Tennessee in Lewis County on November 15, 1924 and was 92 years old, but spent most of her life in Pulaski, TN.
She was a loving wife mother and grandmother. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Pulaski and Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Franklin. She was also active in local theater at the Heritage at First National Bank.
Visitation will be from 11:00 until 1:00 on Friday with a funeral service following at 1:00 in the Chapel of Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home with Pastor Ryan Bennett officiating.
Burial will take place in Maplewood Cemetery, Pulaski, Tn.
Memorial donations are suggested to Alive Hospice of Nashville % 1718 Patterson St. Nashville, TN 37203, Bethlehem United Methodist of Franklin % 2419 Bethlehem Loop Rd. Franklin, TN 37069, or to First United Methodist Church of Pulaski % 200 W. Jefferson St. Pulaski, TN 38478.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Abney Abernathy, parents, Zade Bigham and Minnie Currey Pollock, sisters, Mary Jones, Bonnie Hayes, Jessie Marks, Zada Smithson, and Ruby Ethridge, brothers, Dick Pollock, Tom Pollock, Zade Pollock, Jr., and a nephew, Graham Jones.
She is survived by,

Grandchild, Rob (Kim) Hagan of Franklin
Great-grandchildren, Ellie, Aubrey, and Henry Hagan
Granddaughter, Emily (Jimmy) Prophet of Nashville
Great-grandchildren, Jake and Patrick Prophet
Granddaughter, Laura (Jay) Sauls of Woodinville, WA
Great-grandchildren, Hutton, Harrison, and Sabrina Sauls
Very special loved ones, Marcia and Neil Winterburn of Pulaski
Niece, Mimi Pollock
Nephews, Rand Hayes, Danny Ethridge, John Smithson, Billy Smithson, Tom Pollock, and Steve Marks
