Eupal Lindsey Thorne, 84, died Sunday, May 7, 2017 at NMMC. She was born in Itawamba County, Mississippi to Zachary Benjamin “Dutch” Lindsey and Minnie Bell Brazil Lindsey. She was saved 60 years ago and was a member of Red Bay Free Will Baptist Church and the Eastern Star.

Visitation will be today, May 8, 2017 6-9 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay. Services will be tomorrow, May 9, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Steve Lindsay officiating. Burial will be in Burnout Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay will be in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by two children, Kathy Thorne Ivy, of Red Bay, and Jerry Wayne Thorne (Beverly), of Vina; three grandchildren, Brad Ivy (Sonya), Heath Thorne (Tiffany), and Amber Rieder (Josh); eight grandchildren, Nicole Earnest, Jeremiah Thorne, Joshua Thorne, Elijah Hill, Weston Hill, Tristan Rieder, Eirabelle Rieder, and Valen Reider; one great-great grandson, Caseyn Rayburn; brother-in-law, Paul Taylor; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, J.W. Thorne; son-in-law, David Ivy; brothers and sisters, J.D. Lindsey, Monroe Lindsey, Opal Thorne, Fannie Pruitt, and Eula Taylor.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Cooper, Paul Thorn, Glenn Vinson, Sonny Martin, Bobby Patterson, Rex Patterson, and Gary Lindsey. Honorary pallbearers will be Zack Woods, Trent Woods, Austin Holland and Morgan Miller.
