Funeral services for Mr. J. W. Tate, age 70, are scheduled for 11 AM, Thursday, May 4, 2017 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Baptist Cemetery. Mr. Tate passed away Monday in Lexington. He was born March 30, 1945 in Henderson County to the late Bill and Iva Hensley Tate. He was a janitor at Caywood School and enjoyed fishing. Mr. Tate was preceded in death by two wives, Ruby Stegall Tate and Brenda Davis Tate. Survivors include his two daughters, Mary Tate and Jessica Mills (Jesse); one brother, Gary Tate (Darlene); one sister, Shelia Parrish; two grandchildren, Alyson and Noah Mills; two nieces, Stephanie and Kristie Tate; and one nephew, Brian Tate.
