Dougal Dee McFall – Obituary

Dougal Dee McFall, 94, passed away peacefully April 23, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Feb. 2, 1923, in Wayne County, Tennessee and was a devout Christian and faithfully attended Johnson Chapel Baptist Church. Mr. McFall served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a farmer, and at age 65 he started Mid Tenn Turf of Manchester, Tennessee along with his daughter and later started Volunteer Sod of Lutts, Tennessee with his son. He retired at the age of 80 to take care of his sick wife of 63 years, Mary Walter Austin McFall, until her death in 2009. Other than his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, George W. and Ola White McFall, and his son, Robin McFall.

Survivors are children, Donny D. McFall, wife Rebecca, (deceased), Memphis, Tennessee, Johnny S. McFall, wife Debbie, and Dr. Danny Wayne McFall, wife Regina, all of Florence, Alabama, Patsy Ann McFall Wilkinson, husband Robert, Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Marilyn June McFall Howard, husband Allan, Manchester, Tennessee, Dougal Mark McFall, wife Sheila, Lutts, Tennessee, Gary Lynn McFall, wife Lisa, Brentwood, Tennessee; and daughter-in-law, Jackie McFall, Columbia, Tennessee; 17 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017, with Tim Hanback and Jimmy McGee officiating. Burial, with military rites, will follow in Lutts Cemetery, Lutts, Tennessee, with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Wayne McFall, Benjamin Bowling, Chris McFall, Indy Wilkinson, Lance Howard, and Garrett McFall. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Wilbanks, Jennie Faye Brewer, and Shelia Cox. Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
