James Kenneth “Kenny” Jones, age 65, of Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Kenny was born March 9, 1952 in Maury County, the son of the late James Lee Jones and Lucille Holcomb Jones. On October 2, 1970, he married Patricia Marlene Ervin Jones. Kenny was retired. He worked for Charles C. Parks and Columbia Midstate. He was a loving husband, devoted father and loving grandfather, affectionately known as ‘Paw.” He was an avid fisherman.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Jones of Columbia; children, Yolanda (Jim) Gray of Mt. Pleasant, James Kenny Jones and Greg (Anna) Jones, both of Columbia; grandchildren, James Daniel (Holly) Gray, Haley Jean Jones, Gregory Jones and Ava Elizabeth Jones, all of Columbia; siblings, Kathy (Mark) Tidwell, Deborah (Billy) Hensley and Dwayne Dixon, all of Columbia; a special aunt, Gladys Sisco along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Kenny will be conducted Friday, April 28, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Columbia with Donnie DeBord officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends on Friday from Noon until service time at the funeral home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
