Mrs. Mary T. Yates, age 90, of Boaz died on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at St. Vincent’s East Hospital. Mrs. Yates was born in Canada on January 14, 1927 to John Thomas & Helen McAuley Tremaine. She was a homemaker. Funeral service will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church with burial to follow in the adjoining Cemetery. Bro. David Martin officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the church. Mrs. Yates is survived by her Daughter: Mona Armstrong of Georgia. Daughter-in-Law: Cindy Yates of Albertville. 5 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren & 1 Great-Great Grandchild. Sisters: Margaret Badeau, Doris Eatmon & Juanita Hansen all of Canada. Mrs. Yates was preceded in death by her Husband: C.E. “Buddy” Yates. Son: Ricard Michael Yates, Sr. & Son-in-Law: Arnold Armstrong. Pallbearers will be: Duane Armstrong, Mike Yates, Will Yates, Justin Yates, Donny McCaa & Joe West. Honorary Pallbearers: The Staff of Albertville Nursing Home.
