Linda Diane (Lindsey) Medley – Obituary

Linda Diane (Lindsey) Medley, age 62, passed away Tuesday April 25, 2017 at Centennial Medical Center. A native of Lincoln County, she was the daughter of the late G.C. (Lightning) and Annie Ruth Patterson Lindsey, the granddaughter of the late Woodrow and Alma Patterson, and the late Bert and Virgie Lindsey. Mrs. Medley was a Home-maker and former Nurses Assistant at Lincoln-Donalson Care Center and Southern Manor Assisted Living. She was a life-long member of Brogan Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors include sons Christopher (Angela) Pollard of Tullahoma, Tennessee and Shawn (Cassidy) Medley of Elora, Tennessee; step-daughter-in-law Ella Medley of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; grandchildren Gracie Ann and Addalynne Elizabeth Pollard of Tullahoma, Tennessee, Shauna, Kyle, Logan, and Toby Medley and Amaya Gulley all of Elora, Tennessee; step-grandchildren Hailey (Cody) Luke, Jarrod Medley, and three step-great-grandchildren all of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee; sisters Darlene Lindsey Freeman of Fayetteville, Tennessee and Denise (Ricky) Smith of Ardmore, Alabama; brothers Danny (Showboat) Lindsey and David (JoAnn) Lindsey all of Fayetteville, Tennessee; special sister-in-law Martha (Dwight) Medley of Flintville, Tennessee; life-long friend “sister” Vickie Hentz-Brown of Fayetteville, Tennessee along with her parents and grandparents. Mrs. Medley was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Medley, in-laws, J.B. And Christine Medley, step-son Micheal Medley, and nephew Michael-Cassidy Lindsey.

All who know Diane will remember how much she loved her family (Earth and Church Family) and how much she adored all of her grand-babies who lovingly referred to her as “Maw-Maw”.

Graveside services will be held Thursday April 27, 2017 at 3 P.M. at Gatlin Cemetery with Rev. James Barnes officiating. Visitation with the family will be Thursday April 27.2017 from 12 P.M. until 2 P.M. at Higgins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the National Kidney Foundation, The American Heart Associations, The American Cancer Society, or The Brogan Avenue Baptist Church.
