Lawrence Michael Schick, 80, of Decatur, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at Huntsville Hospital. Mr. Schick was born Feb. 17, 1937, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Donald and Dorothy Fitzgerald Schick. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church, and was retired from Chrysler Corp. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, William Schick.
He is survived by his wife Rita Schick; two sons, Michael Schick and Thomas Schick; two daughters, Dr. Cindy Allen (Greg), and Elisabeth Schick; two grandchildren, Madeline Allen and Ben Allen; one stepgrandson, Jacob Rozell; three brothers, Donald Schick, James Schick (Cynthia), and Robert Schick (Martha); three sisters, D’Anne Schick, Mary Ellen Hahn (Leo), and Emma Lou Neper (Roger).
Rosary service is 9:30 a.m. Thursday, April 27, 2017, at Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the church followed by a Mass at 11:30.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Vincent de Paul Society or Annunciation of the Lord Building fund.
