James “Jamie” P. Smith , age 67 of Lexington, AL passed away Monday, April 24, 2017 at home after an extended illness. He was a native of Lauderdale Co, AL, a retired Poultry Farmer, a Veteran of The United States Army serving in the Vietnam War, and a member of Lexington United Methodist Church. Funeral Services will be held at Lexington United Methodist Church on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 2:00 PM. Kenny Baskins and Sam Hayes will be officiating. Burial will follow in Portertown cemetery with military honors presented at the graveside.
Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Lexington United Methodist Church.

2-Sons- Craig Smith (Melanie) Five Points, TN
Josh Smith (Emily) Trinity, AL
1-Brother- Tommy H. Smith (Martha) Athens, AL
2-Sisters- Joan Jones Florence, AL
Martha Barnett (Troy) Florence, AL
Mother & Father In Law- Johnnie “Gat” Allen( Norma) Killen, AL
Brother In Law- Johnnie Allen (Sandy) Lexington, AL
Sister In Law- Melissa Allen Killen, AL
4-Grandchildren- Kaley, Alli, Maggie and Will Smith
Several Nieces & Nephews Also Survive

Parents- Horton & Alene Putnam Smith
Brothers- Richard Smith & Eddie Smith
