Joey J. Vaughn
FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department released a statement concerning the arrest of a suspect on Friday, April 21. the suspect has been charged with Burglary and Theft:
” Joey J. Vaughn was arrested on 04/21/17 after officers responding to an alarm call at Kids Club Child Development Center, 1201 Hermitage Dr, Florence.
Officers arrived and noticed movement inside the building. Additional officers were called to the scene and a male jumped from a window and began to run from the area. The man, later identified as Vaughn, was caught following a short foot pursuit.
He was identified from video within the building and was charged at the scene with Burglary and Theft related charges. Reports indicate that money was stolen from within the business.
Vaughn is currently in the custody of the Lauderdale County Detention Center with bond totaling $2,500.00 US. Additional charges are pending against Vaughn for similar crimes.”
