Flood Warning Affecting Colbert And Lauderdale Counties

LAUDERDALE/COLBERT COUNTIES-The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning for Colbert and Lauderdale Counties.  Alabama State Highway 20 is flooded at the underpass below U.S. Highway 43 and 72.

Counties
The Flood Warning continues for
the Tennessee River AT Florence.

* until Saturday afternoon.

* At 6 AM Monday the stage was 15.4 feet and rising.

* Flood Stage is 18.0 feet.

* Minor Flooding is forecast.

* Forecast…Rise above Flood Stage by early Wednesday morning and
rise to 20.3 feet by early Friday morning.

* Impact…At 20.0 feet…Alabama State Highway 20 is flooded at the
underpass below U.S. Highways 43 and 72. The underpass will likely
be closed.

* Flood history…This crest compares to a previous crest of 21.2 feet
on May 3 2010.
